As part of my remit working across the BT account at Zone I was responsible for the fortnightly email sent to customers to excite them about their TV packages, highlighting key programme content. The email was very long as the client was keen to include as much content as possible to cover all areas including film and TV and open rates were low. Working with design and UX teams, I lead a redesign of the email, convincing BT less is more in both content and design, cherrypicking the best, and most searchable, offers and using simple images with clear calls to action. As a result the newsletter was sent weekly and open rates improved.
As part of the BT BAU team I also created copy for bespoke customer email campaigns, working with the BT branding team to ensure on-brand tone of voice across all platforms.
